MobilePDQ Android App Privacy Policy

Foothill Brook Group, LLC adheres to Google Play Developer Program Policies for the MobilePDQ (c)  DSD Route Sales app. 

 

 MobilePDQ PRIVACY POLICY

This privacy policy governs your use of the software application MobilePDQ (“App”) for mobile devices that was created by Foothill Brook Group, LLC (FBG). MobilePDQ is a comprehensive route sales program for Direct Store Delivery (DSD). MobilePDQ is a business App intended to facilitate invoicing and inventory management. There is no intention to collect any private information about the user who is acting as a salesperson.

 Main Features
  1. Download sync with a host accounting software program (Example: QuickBooks Enterprise)

    1. Customer information including name, address, city, zip, contact person, email address, route assignment, pricing plan, discount plan and invoice format.

    2. Product information including name, UPC Code, base price, unit of measure, pricing plan and item group.

  2. Create accurate sales orders (presell) and delivery invoices based on base price, pricing plans and discount plans. Orders and invoices may be exported as PDF files using email to transmit the data. A run-time Bluetooth connection is required to pair with a portable printer as well as identifying near-by devices.

  3. Track route (vehicle) inventory including sales, good, returned product and damaged returned product daily.

  4. A route reconciliation is created at the end of each business day providing a summary of sales activity including dollar and quantity over or shortages.

  5. Upload sync with the Handheld Management System (HMS) on a Windows PC or Server.

 

 Data Safety

 Runtime Permissions (aka Dangerous Permissions)
 Location

The Precise Location data permission is required for portable Bluetooth printers to be able to pair with the MobilePDQ App. The App may be used without connecting to Bluetooth printers. A printer is used to print orders, invoices and sales reports from route sales transactions.

 Device or other ID’s

The Nearby devices data permission is required in addition to Location for portable Bluetooth printers to be able to pair with the MobilePDQ App. The App may be used without connecting to Bluetooth printers. A printer is used to print orders, invoices and sales reports from route sales transactions.

 User Provided Information

The Application obtains the information you provide when you download the Application. The device serial number registration is required for the App to communicate (sync) with a host accounting software program. Registration is not required if the app is used in stand-alone mode.

The App is provided at no cost. FBG charges a license fee to connect each Android device to the Handheld Management System (HMS) middleware for Microsoft Servers and desktops. HMS provides the software interface between accounting software programs and the Android devices running the MobilePDQ app.

 Automatically Collected Information 

In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device and your mobile operating system (Android Operating System Release).

 Does the Application collect precise real time location information of the   device?

When you use the App, we may use GPS technology (or other similar technology) to determine your current location in order to determine the city you are located within and display a location map. We will not share your current location with other users or partners.

If you do not want us to use your location for the purposes set forth above, you should turn off the location services for the mobile application located in your account settings or in your mobile phone settings and/or within the mobile application. 

 

 

 Do third parties  have access to information obtained by the Application?

No. We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

We may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;

  • when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;

  • if Foothill Brook Group, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Web site of any change in ownership or uses of this information, as well as any choices you may have regarding this information.

 

 What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network. Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

Only sales and inventory transactions are retained. No User Provided data is retained. Please note that retaining sales data may be required in order for the Application to function properly.

 Children

We do not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The MobilePDQ app only retains data related to product sales.

 Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The app maintains only the last seven days of sales transactions in the event the data is not passed to the host system Microsoft SQL Server database. Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

 Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. We will notify you of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the new Privacy Policy on this website. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

 Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to our processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. "Processing,” means including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States. If you reside outside the United States your information will be transferred, processed and stored there under United States privacy standards.
